FCMG implemented a computerized
document control system that has been very instrumental
in successfully tracking all documentation and cost controls
on the project, including change orders, RFI’s, RFP’s,
field orders, submittals, potential change orders, correspondence
to and from the Design Team, Owner and Contractor, meeting
minutes, etc. all within reach of all project management
team members by a computerized network.
The expansion almost doubled
the existing contiguous hall space to 44,000 square feet.
The new expansion along with the Riverwalk extension and
the renovation of the existing facilities increased the
building footprint to more than 1.3 million square feet.
The project included a 40,000 square foot ballroom.
The project was named “Best
Public Project” for 2001 by Texas Construction magazine.
The Parsons/Foster Project Management Team was awarded
the 2002 Construction Management Project Achievement Award
by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
